With a student next to you, think about the difference between quoting, paraphrasing and summarizing. Do you also know when to use which?
When to quote, paraphrase or summarize
Go over the WHENTOPQS activity sheet with a partner. You should first identify whether the passage is quoted, paraphrased and summarized and think about why the author chose to do that. Then, go to the Google Docs and describe when to quote, paraphrase or summarize in a table.
