Highlighted colors in your essay refer to something you need to revise or modify or correct.

If I correct every single grammatical error, it does not help you improve your editing or proofreading skills.

So, I will highlight words or phrases that need to be revised/modified/changed/or corrected.

Your job is to find out how/why you should changed them if you have any mistakes.

I will usually select one or two paragraphs and highlight them.

The focus might be different depending on people or assignments. Thanks!
