Review on "Purpose"
1. I think there are several purpose of writing diagnostic essay, to test our ability of organizing words, to find out what do we lack in writing an argumentative essay, to improve our writing ability. But unfortunately, I wrote this diagnostic essay without even thinking about these purposes.
2. The purpose of diagnostic activity is showing people’ ideas of the statement and convincing others who hold the opposite viewpoints. I wrote my first draft with this purpose in mind.
3. The purpose of the diagnostic activity is to persuade people that teenagers should not receive the cosmetic surgery. When writing my first draft, I always keep this purpose in mind. To achieve this goal, in the first paragraph, I state that although cosmetic surgery has some advantage for adults, it still do harm on teenagers so that teenagers should not receive the cosmetic surgery.

Elements of an effective thesis statement are as following:
- A good thesis statement should clearly tell a reader the objective of the study being carried.
- It should be easily comprehensible even by a layman.
- The statement should be between the word-range of 15 to 30 words.
- A good thesis statement should concisely describe your standpoint for the topic that you are dealing in to get a better idea.
- It should be proved with the finding through the research and analysis part of your study.
